Handwritten sheet music for ‘Playing the Names’. This song was recorded for the second album by Ferg’s Imaginary Big Band. It is made up of transcribed names of each current member of the band into musical notation. The tune draws on tone rows and Ornette Coleman’s theory of harmolodics.
